SG 3 to snore or not to snore

Has anyone lived with someone that snores so loud the house shook? Well I do! My husband is so tired after working his 12-hour shifts at the hospital that he is fast asleep. The only problem is while he may be getting good night’s sleep I am going crazy trying to sleep. It seems as soon as I lie down and start to drift off, an earth shattering noise that scares the living hell out of me. I don’t remember the weatherman calling for thundershowers; I sit up and catch my breath only to realize it is just my husband snoring. My goodness never did I think it was possible that someone can snore so loud that not a single person in the house can sleep. I swear it sounds like a damn freight train coming through my bedroom with all the bells and whistles. While sitting up in bed staring at him I cannot decide if I should gently nudge him or smack him and quickly lay down before he learns it was me. Then there is that temptation to tickle his nose and watch him smack at it. Don’t get me wrong I love him dearly but it is funny watching him sound asleep making more noise than when he is awake.  Once the freight train rolls over it is quite peaceful and I finally fall asleep. When he gets ready to leave, he says good-bye and I sleep for an hour longer but once the afternoon hits I am exhausted. When I tell him, he does not understand why I am so tired. Are you kidding me! How does he not wake himself up with all that thundering noise?  Just a little info men are more of a snorer than women. Whoever said nose strips work should be taped down with them. ;-)zzzz

AE 3 Shorter turn around times

This article was very interesting. I feel that the article was geared towards a wide variety of people such as, students, professors, other colleges, and other states. By releasing this article, they are getting the feedback necessary to make the proper choice for the college. Many classes have already begun the process of being cut short. I see both sides and believe that it really depends on the type of student you, are and what your expectations are for the future. Obviously, if you are a lazy slacker or procrastinator the original class periods are much better suited for you but if you have your head in the game and are set out to get it done this would be best for you.
Now in regards to some of the comments about classes not meeting state licensing board apparently have not thought this through before commenting on the article. Universities are fully aware of the state requirements for many course licenses and or degrees. They are not going to put their money making machine at risk of running dry. The classes would be more of the pre-requisites needed prior to entering into the desired program. This would allow for more students in college, same amount of money and happy, happy, employees and students. This is already taking place all over the world.
I personally have only taken a few classes at regular time and the rest have all been at an accelerated pace. I chose this route to complete my goal and move on to the career field of my choice. The only down fall is you may finish in time to begin the program of your choice but it doesn’t mean you’ll get accepted in. not because you didn’t meet the requirements but the college does not have enough seats available for everyone. Although, this may be a great idea the college needs to rethink how they are going to manage the increased students wanting to attend programs that only offer a designated number every year. My suggestion would be to hire more professors in these fields and open up the class student count. This will benefit everyone and again be a greater profit for the college.   Businesses will benefit as well, they get more trained employees at a quicker turn around time. with so many baby boomers getting ready to retire the need for replacement is in high gear.

SG 2 Football Hazing Or Racism

Why is it that every time two people in a professional career have a disagreement one pulls the race card? Does everything really come to color of the skin still? For instance, the football players from the dolphins team (Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin). Here we have to men that treat each other in a manner that seems to be acceptable in football but highly unacceptable by the public. They are acting like cave dwellers who do not have any sense to know better. One is just as guilty as the other is in this case. Many other Dolphin players have come forward in favor of Incognito stating that if anyone was like a brother to Martin, it was Incognito. So what really went on?

What about the responsibility of them team coaches, managers, and its owners? Martin had to have taken steps in reporting these incidents to someone, yet no hard evidence or concrete proof has surfaced just a lot of "hearsay”. These men have options and a chain of command to follow when reporting abuse or any complaints. Martin is responsibility to write down dates, and times of the incidents, whom he spoke to when reporting to a superior. Now many people’s lives are affected by this kind of behavior. People who get paid millions to play football act like immature teenage boys.

Hazing is out of control everywhere. Since there is no physical, aspects left of hazing only mental then this should not be a problem. Wrong! That can be the worst kind of hazing. The mind is not designed to take constant mental abuse, eventually someone is going to snap. However, let us look at both sides and how the comments that these two men threw back and forth to one another played out. Both had comments of race and both threatened each other’s families with murder yet only Incognito is being exploited here. So if both used racial slurs to make a point why is Incognito the one being labeled a racist? Both men need to be frowned upon for the hateful things they said and the disgusting comments of their families! If I were married to either man they would definitely have an ear full and I would really think about my future with someone that thinks it’s okay to threaten another man’s family for a better game night! I ask again is this really about racism or just two dumbasses that didn’t know when to quit? This does not excuse Incognito from his actions as a bully but it does make Martin look a little silly waiting over a year to take action?

AE#2 Slanted opinion.

While standing in line at the grocery story I glance through one of many “smut” magazines. The titles are so catching it makes you want to open up to the big story itself. I cannot help but get caught up and want to know more about the major story of the magazine. As I am reading the story I catch myself making opinions of the person in the story is about, leaning towards the same opinion as the author of the magazine article. I wonder how these people can get away with doing the mean things they do to the ones they claim to love. Have they no morals or respect for others not to commit these hateful acts against each other!
US Weekly, an example of a “smut” magazine, always has major titles that are very tempting and draw the reader in making them want to buy the magazine. There it is the tactic! The idea is, that if they present catchy titles a person will buy the magazine and it worked.  Then while continue to read the magazine you begin to realize that all the stories are only of opinions not facts. The article is so enticing it gives the feeling that everything is true and factual, I mean why would they make it all up!  Not only does it seem factual they have pictures to represent their claims, it has to be true or they would not print the articles.
This is their goal. To present people with information in a manner that you cannot resist. They write the articles so that they seems like we all can relate to the lives of stars. Really, they just want to make money.
