Has anyone lived with someone that
snores so loud the house shook? Well I do! My husband is so tired after working
his 12-hour shifts at the hospital that he is fast asleep. The only problem is
while he may be getting good night’s sleep I am going crazy trying to sleep. It
seems as soon as I lie down and start to drift off, an earth shattering noise
that scares the living hell out of me. I don’t remember the weatherman calling
for thundershowers; I sit up and catch my breath only to realize it is just my
husband snoring. My goodness never did I think it was possible that someone can
snore so loud that not a single person in the house can sleep. I swear it
sounds like a damn freight train coming through my bedroom with all the bells
and whistles. While sitting up in bed staring at him I cannot decide if I should
gently nudge him or smack him and quickly lay down before he learns it was me. Then
there is that temptation to tickle his nose and watch him smack at it. Don’t get
me wrong I love him dearly but it is funny watching him sound asleep making more
noise than when he is awake. Once the
freight train rolls over it is quite peaceful and I finally fall asleep. When he
gets ready to leave, he says good-bye and I sleep for an hour longer but once
the afternoon hits I am exhausted. When I tell him, he does not understand why I
am so tired. Are you kidding me! How does he not wake himself up with all that
thundering noise? Just a little info men are more of a snorer than women. Whoever said nose strips work should be taped down with them. ;-)zzzz
Oh my, that brought back flash backs. My husband snored so loud, and it seemed that he started snoring as soon as his head hit the pillow. He always went to sleep before me. Later he was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Sometimes he woke up more tired that he was when he went to sleep. Good luck on getting some sleep.
